You wanna hide notifications from lock screen because Sometimes you don’t want your messages up on your lock screen. We are lucky that Android allows you to hide notifications on a locked phone.
When Google brought this feature of showing the messages on Android’s lock screen, it was a game-changer. Instant access to important notifications and messages is one of the things that makes smartphones so prevalent.
But having sensitive information on your lock screen also means you are at risk. It would be way better if it shows only the app the notification entire notification on the lock screen.
The content of the message or notification will be hidden and your sensitive information will be safe. Even I would prefer this method because we can’t say that whose hands our devices will be.
How to hide sensitive notifications from your Android lock screen
To hide the notifications you’ll need to open Settings settings by pulling down the notification tray and tapping on the gear icon. When you’re in Settings, select Lock screen and preferences and tap on Notifications on the lock screen option.
When you tap on this, you will be seen the three following choices: Show all notification content. Hide sensitive notification content, and Don’t show notifications at all.
Obviously the last would be the best option but selecting hide sensitive notifications will stop private messages from showing on your lock screen. This option will let you show from which app the notification has come from but not the message.
If you have the habit of leaving your phone around where ever just about anyone can see its lock screen content. Then it’s a good idea to hide your details from the lock screen.
